Concrete roof tiles particularly those on the lower roofs of Ronkswood Community Centre in Worcester had suffered from vandalism and needed to be replaced.
Decra Stratos tiles in charcoal grey were specified as the replacement and were also used on some of the higher roofs. Around 500 square metres of Stratos tiles were installed, as they closely matched the profile of the interlocking concrete tiles left in position on the higher levels.
Decra tiles, with an extremely strong metal core, are highly vandal resistant and their overall size and light weight makes them very fast and easy to fit. Additionally, the unique flashing on the side abutments removed the need for lead.

| The existing concrete roof tiles had required 26 repairs to this one small roof slope alone. |
Worcester City Council also benefited from a 30-year weather security guarantee on the whole of all the new roof coverings, as well as enjoying a virtually maintenance free roof.
