The most reflective system you can buy

Solatube ® by Decra Roof Systems gathers the maximum amount of light from your roof top and transfers it with minimal light loss to the room below.
It is important to remember that light diminishes each time it bounces against a surface, as some energy (light) is inevitably absorbed by the surface. Solatube Spectralight® Infinity tube material is 99.7% reflective, meaning that only 0.3% of light is lost at each bounce with 99.7% of the light continuing on its path to the room below.
In the chart below, you can see how light output can be greatly affected by the reflective properties of the tube material used.

The chart clearly shows how important tube reflectivity is in ensuring the best possible light delivery. You may think that 99.7% and 98% reflective values sound very close, but after just 20 bounces of light, Solatube's 99.7% reflective tube will deliver almost 30% more light than a 98% reflective tube.
Some tubular daylight systems are supplied with flexible duct rather than rigid tubes. The reflective properties of flexible ducting are extremely poor - imagine trying to bounce light off a piece of crumpled foil; the light would scatter in all directions rather than continuing on it's downward path. Tests have shown that Solatube will deliver up to 10 times more light than a comparably sized flexible duct system.
