Eaves Protection Systems

Pitched roof underlays are normally dressed into the eaves gutter, leaving a strip of material exposed. Some underlays can deteriorate and even disintegrate after relatively short exposure to water and sunlight. If no provision is made for eaves protection, this can result in:

  • Internal leakage.
  • Rotting of the rafter feet.
  • Rotten soffits.
  • Expensive future maintenance costs.

BRE Defect Action Sheets and BS 5534: 2003 (Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling) recommends the use of a more durable material for these exposed areas.
The Decra Eaves Guard is designed to meet these requirements. This highly UV resistant polymeric eaves protection system is extremely durable and will give maintenance free service for many years.
