When traditional concrete and clay roof tiles break during transport or installation, you are literally throwing money into the skip. Cedar and felt roof shingles can also be equally be prone to the same damage due to their fragile nature.
Decra tiles have unrivalled impact resistance compared with traditional materials. This means our lightweight roofing tiles reduce on-site wastage and save you money.
As well as ensuring that transportation is less damaging, the strength of Decra tiles means they provide a more effective covering than traditional roof tiles and roof shingles. Our tiles are not restricted by the same limitations of other roofing materials. While roof tiles and roof shingles rely on their deadweight for resistance against wind uplift, Decra tiles do not. Instead, they are secured at the top and bottom of the tile. This is enhanced by the lateral positioning of fixings, as all loads are 90° to the plane. This improved method of fixing, combined with the high impact resistance, means Decra tiles outshine traditional roof shingles when it comes to strength.
A demonstration of strength
Strong and convenient
Although they are stronger than traditional tiles and roof shingles, the Decra system is much lighter - around one-seventh of the weight of concrete tiles.
By using the Decra roof system, you can make your development planning and use of materials far more efficient and environmentally friendly. What's more, the lighter roof means savings can be made in terms of man hours and cost.
