Eaves Ventilation Components

A number of factors in modern housing have led to increased risks of condensation within roof spaces. Average air temperatures within dwellings have increased, allowing the air to carry more water vapour. Increased insulation at ceiling level has led to colder roof voids. Roofing underlays have greatly reduced the amount of natural ventilation of the roof space. Natural ventilation has also been reduced by the elimination of open-flued chimneys and the use of high performance draught-proof doors and windows. Condensation, taking place out of the sight of the occupier, can cause serious damage: timber decay, loss of insulation effectiveness, and spoilt decoration. For this reason, ventilation of roof space is required by all UK building regulations. Decra FV100 Over Fascia Ventilator Installed continuously, provides guaranteed actual ventilation opening of 10 000mm²/m. Fit with gutter bracket spacers (supplied separately) where necessary.

FV250 Over Fascia Ventilator Installed continuously, provides guaranteed actual ventilation opening of 25 000mm²/m. Fit with gutter bracket spacers supplied.

Continuous Rafter Roll Laid continuously over the rafters before the underlay is fixed, provides a maximum 25,000mm² dependent on eaves ventilation inlet provision. Universal, adjusts for 400 - 600mm rafter centres.

Gutter bracket spacers Fitted behind gutter brackets to ensure an unrestricted air flow behind the gutter into the ventilator, and to ensure correct gutter positioning

Decra Eaves Mesh
100m roll x 60mm wide, 4mm ventilated insect screening. Designed for use on over-felt pitched re-roofing applications and warm roof situations. Where used in warm roof situations this product must be used in conjunction with Decra Warm Roof Eaves Guard and Decra Warm Roof Eaves Closure Flashing.
