Installation Guidance - Decra Classic, Elegance & Stratos

‘D’ Type unventilated hip detail.

  1. Fit 50 x 25mm hip battens (50 x 38mm for Decra Stratos), fixed to tile battens along length of hip to suit D type Ridge Cap.
  2. Cut tiles to a raking angle and turn Decra tiles up 38mm in front of batten and fit D type Ridge Cap over upstand.
  3. Secure tiles and ridge cap using 4-no. pre-coated Decra Nails each side, driven through the hip capping and tile upstand, into the face of the batten.
  4. For hip end termination use ‘D’ Ridge Hip End Closure Unit.

    NOTE: Decra D Ridge Caps are tapered to allow for laps.
    Overall length of ridge cap 1280mm, lap each ridge cap 80mm to provide 1200mm overall length of cover.
