Installation Guidance - Decra Classic, Elegance & Stratos
1. Cut roofing felt min. 10mm short to allow clear ventilation through to ridge.
2. Fix two tiling battens side by side at top of monopitch ridge (Allow min. 5mm clear air gap between tiling, battens and fascia to ensure clear ventilation to roofspace).
3. Decra Classic, Elegance and Parctile - Fix additional 50 x 25mm monopitch ridge fixing batten to top tiling batten. Decra Stratos - Fix additional 50 x 38mm monopitch ridge fixing batten to top tiling batten.
4. Fold Decra ‘D’ type Ridge Cap to form monopitch ridge profile capping.
5. Install Universal Vent strips behind the front edge of the Ridge Cap and secure ridge caps with 4-no Decra Nails to each side. The procedure for installing the monopitch ridge is essentially the same as the detail for the ridges. NOTE: Decra D Ridge Caps are tapered to allow for laps. Overall length of ridge cap 1280mm, lap each ridge cap 80mm to provide 1200mm overall length of cover. NOTE: Where roof pitches exceed 35° it may be necessary to adjust the return angle of the down turned leg of the D Ridge cap and use an alternative size of ridge fixing batten.
