A number of factors in modern housing have led to increased risks of condensation within roof spaces. Average air temperatures within dwellings have increased, allowing the air to carry more water vapour. Increased insulation at ceiling level has led to colder roof voids. Roofing underlays have greatly reduced the amount of natural ventilation of the roof space.
Natural ventilation has also been reduced by the elimination of open-flued chimneys and the use of high performance draught-proof doors and windows. Condensation, taking place out of the sight of the occupier, can cause serious damage: timber decay, loss of insulation effectiveness, and spoilt decoration. For this reason, ventilation of roof space is required by all UK building regulations. Ridge Ventilation Systems
Decra Classic D Ridge Vent FillerCompatability: use with Decra Classic & Elegance Tile profiles only.
Uses: Ventilated ridge and monopitch ridge details up to 35° ridge details only (for pitches over 35° use Universal D Ridge/Hip Ventilator .
Performance: Provides 5,000mm² airflow per linear metre each side of ridge line.
Cover: 18m (36 linear metres per pack, providing vent filler strip to cover both sides of a 18m long ridge or hip).

Parctile D Ridge Vent FillerCompatability: use with Parctile only.
Uses: Ventilated ridge and monopitch ridge details up to 35° ridge details only (for pitches over 35° use Universal D Ridge/Hip Ventilator .

Gas Flue Ridge Terminal
Compatability: use with Decra Classic & Elegance, Stratos, Plus Tile and Parctile profiles only (suitable for use with Decra D ridges only).
Performance: The DecraVent Gas Flue Ridge Terminal is produced to BS 5440 and complies with all Building Regulations and Standards for gas burning appliances with input up to 60kW.
British Gas approved and compatible with
Decra ‘D’ Ridge.
Note: Adaptor for connection to flue not included.
